Dependiendo de la edad, lo más seguro es que tu papá pertenezca a una de esas dos generaciones conocidas como ‘Baby boomers’ o ‘Generación X’. Si es el caso, también es muy probable que sean muy tradicionalistas respecto a su perspectiva financiera. En una de esas le tienen miedo a la tecnología digital y a los nuevos instrumentos financieros venidos con ella, por eso sólo usan los ya clásicos “invertir en la bolsa”, “comprar bienes raíces” o “bonos del gobierno”
Si tu papá es de esos, pero también es entusiasta de las finanzas y los negocios, a lo mejor este día del padre podrías darle estos tres consejos financieros para que se anime a explorar las nuevas oportunidades económicas y de inversión que hoy en día ofrece el mundo Millennial en conjunción con su experiencia en el manejo de sus finanzas personales y su ‘colmillo’ para los negocios. No es el regalo más ortodoxo, pero ya ven que luego es bien difícil saber qué regarle a papá en su día.
Emprender con Crowdfunding
Si tu papá es de esos emprendedores en potencia, que a cada rato se le vienen a la mente ideas de negocio pero no las concreta porque no tiene el capital suficiente para arrancarlas, entonces deberías contarle sobre el Crowdfunding o ‘fondeo colectivo’. Para ti a lo mejor esto ya es un lugar común y un concepto que manejas al derecho y al revés, pero tu papá no.
Le puedes explicar que el fondeo colectivo es un tipo de financiamiento o recaudación de fondos muy peculiar, porque no implica a ninguna institución financiera formal (bancos, por ejemplo), más bien es gente común y corriente que quiere invertir su dinero en algo, y encuentra en las plataformas para hacer Crowdfunding, como Kickstarter, proyectos en los que confía o con los que se sienten identificados.
Así, le puedes decir que ya no hay excusa, y que si está seguro de sus ideas y de su potencialidad real como negocio, puede intentar de convencer a los millones de micro-inversionistas en este tipo de plataformas.
Invertir a través de Crowdfunding
Es posible también que tu papá no sea de espíritu emprendedor, pero sí de esas personas a las que les gusta estar moviendo su dinero e invertir en todos lados. El Crowfunding no sólo puede usarse como método de financiamiento para emprender tus propias ideas, sino también para generar réditos de las buenas ideas de los demás y que están en necesidad de recursos económicos para llevarlas a cabo.
En ese sentido, le puedes explicar a tu papá que hay métodos de fondeo colectivo que están más orientados a la inversión que al financiamiento. Velo así, la masa de personas que fondean un proyecto actúan como una suerte de financiera que le presta el dinero a aquel que quiere ejecutar un gran proyecto. Este mecanismo se aplica a muchos tipos de proyectos. En México, un buen ejemplo de esta clase de plataformas está dirigida al Crowdfunding de desarrollos inmobiliarios.
Comprar o invertir en criptomonedas
Una opción más que le puedes enseñar a tu papá, son las criptomonedas. Especialmente si es de emociones financieras fuertes, porque el mercado de las criptos es sumamente volátil e impredecible, pero también muy redituable cuando se le pega a un buen ‘trade’. En suma, de mucho riesgo y mucha recompensa.
Pero la ganancia no es la única razón por la cual las criptomonedas son muy atractivas. Podrías explicarle a tu papá que la tecnología detrás de su implementación – la llamada ‘Blockchain’ – es revolucionaria. No sólo dentro del mundo financiero, sino en general dentro de todo aquello que se puede cuantificar. Así, tal vez tu papá vea las potencialidades de esta tecnología y decida invertir especulando muy a futuro, y no tanto por el ‘hype‘ del presente.
